Aviation Awards of Imperial Germany in WWI -- Subtitled: And the Men Who Earned Them, the Aviation Awards of the Eight Thuringian States and the Duchy of Anhalt. The Thuringian States were composed of the Grand Duchy of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, the Duchies of Saxe-Altenburg, Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, and Saxe-Meiningen, the two Principalities of Reuss, and of Schwarzburg. Next door was the Duchy of Anhalt, which had close military ties with these other states up to and during WWI. The men and awards of these entities are chronicled, along with a wealth of contemporary photographs, many from private collections. Data from former East German archives provides new information on these awards and their distribution within the German armed forces. Volume 5.
