What is Lowriding? A lowrider vehicle has a low stance, a flashy paint job, and many adornments to the interior. It's also very common to have a mural, often a memorial or tribute to a family member, painted on the top of the trunk.
Throughout many Mexican-American neighborhoods, from East Los Angeles to El Paso, cruisers have been dropping their vehicles to a sidewalk-scraping stance since the late 1930s when zoot suits were high fashion. In the past few years, lowriding has spread all over the world, including a lowriding craze across Japan.
